The Club Staff & Other Notables
Meet the team (and a few other characters).
The club wouldn’t be the club without its cast — some real, some imagined, all part of the world we’re building.
From high-performance tennis coaches to charm-forward community hosts, these are the people bringing Après Club to life. You’ll see them courtside, behind the clipboard, or quietly pulling strings between matches.
If you're curious who actually runs this place... scroll on.
The Coaching Department
Those who make it look effortless (even when it’s not).
They’ve got the form, the finesse, and the ability to explain top-spin three different ways — and still make it land.
Nicole H. (Real)
The Backhand Beauty. Redhead Racket Wielder. Certified Problem-Solver.
She first picked up a racquet at age seven and never let go — mostly because she was already beating the boys at her local club by eight. Provincial titles? Plural. A full-ride D1 scholarship? Naturally. And now? She’s Après Club’s resident prodigy with a killer serve and a better side eye.
With fiery red hair, electric blue eyes, and more energy than your pre-workout, Nicole isn’t here to rally — she’s here to refine your game and ruin your excuses. She swears by the Five C’s: commitment, communication, concentration, control, and confidence — though she’s been known to add a sixth: caffeine.
You’ll usually find her with an iced vanilla latte in one hand and a Babolat racquet in the other (sponsored, obviously) — unless it’s ski season, in which case she’s first chair up the mountain and last call at après. Just try keeping up.
- Most likely to: turn a doubles match into a full-blown strategy seminar.
- Signature drink: Iced vanilla latte. Extra ice. Always.
- Mantra: Confidence is the best spin you can add.

The Inner Circle
A rotating cast of community hosts, event personalities, creative conspirators, and fictional friends of the club. Some of them are real. Some of them are Lucien. All of them are part of the Après Club universe.
Lucien Marceau (Unreal)
Clubhouse Chef. Culinary Provocateur. Possibly Freelanced for Bon Appétit (he won’t say).
Lucien arrived quietly, with knives wrapped in linen and a Spotify playlist titled Summer at La Colombe d’Or. His references include a private client in New York, a six-table restaurant in Nice, and an infamous supper club in East London that no longer exists — allegedly due to a zoning dispute, though rumors suggest a particularly scandalous dessert course.
He believes in cooking with intention, letting ingredients flirt before they commit, and never trusting a man who salts after plating. His menus are nostalgic and seductive: citrus, butter, rosé, and just a whisper of regret.
You’ll catch him between the kitchen and the courts, sleeves rolled, humming Gainsbourg, and pretending not to notice the attention.
Most likely to: name-drop a vineyard mid-recipe, disappear to “source tomatoes,” and reappear with a lover and a vintage basket of figs.
Signature drink: Pastis over ice — or a glass of whatever you opened without him (he’ll forgive you… eventually).
Mantra: Life is too short for unsalted butter.
More besides Lucien coming soon...

J. (Real)
Founder. Creative Director. Keeper of the Club Lore. No last name. No public bio. Just whispers.
Some say she went to boarding school in Switzerland — the kind with horseback lessons, term breaks in Gstaad, and a suspicious number of monogrammed accessories. Others claim she’s the quiet force behind a lifestyle empire-in-the-making, somewhere between start-up founder and elusive society fixture.
Gossip Girl–adjacent, but would never admit it (unless she was a couple glasses in).
She’s been described as “part Hamptons wife, part brand visionary, part woman who knows exactly what matches the court umbrellas.”
Always in tennis attire — even when not playing. Especially when not playing. Known to drive between meetings and court setups blasting French techno while editing lesson copy in her notes app.
Après Club is her vision: cinematic, social, and just a little unhinged. Every detail is curated — from the playlist to the placement of the cooler.
Most likely to:“Just be popping by” in head-to-toe vintage Ralph
Signature drink: chilled Chablis, in the correct glass — if it’s warm, she’ll send it back (politely, but firmly)
Mantra: “We don’t chase. We curate.”
