The First FireThe Clubhouse · 1 OctoberThe fires were lit on the first of October, as they are every year, whatever the weather. Eleven members attended. Lucien served soup, which was not on the menu, and nobody asked for the menu.
The Clubhouse RegattaRoyal Vancouver Yacht Club · August 2025Sails and spritzes. Members were taught to sail in the morning and spent the afternoon describing it. A sweatshirt was made for the occasion with one rule embroidered on the front, No Crying On The Yacht. It has since been enforced well beyond the marina.
The Closing LunchCourchevel 1850 · Last AprilIt began at one and ran until the lifts closed. The committee has since recorded it as a full day on the mountain.
The First SummerPrivate courts · 2021The club began as six members, one tennis coach and a court borrowed from an estate. By August there were three levels, a waiting list and golf, and nobody could remember who had invited whom.
